Zyxware is a Digital services company offering consulting, engineering, and quality assurance services through its engagements with clients since 2006. We operate in the USA, India and Australia and serve a global clientele. As part of these engagements, Zyxware has been building and maintaining high-traffic digital platforms with Drupal at its core since 2006. Our focus on clients' outcomes, appreciation of engineering excellence, and active participation in the global Drupal community have given us a deep understanding of the concept of digital, the Drupal paradigm, and insights into the intersection of digital and Drupal. This translates into scalable and adaptive Drupal portals that are in step with our client's growth aspirations spread over multiple years.

We are also committed to the philosophy of Free Software and have adopted Free and Open Source Software as a software development methodology. We are an active contributor to the Drupal Project through code contributions, training, policy advocacy, and maintaining a large, open, online repository of Drupal problem solutions. We are one of the Signature Support Partners of the Drupal Association.

Our contributions power over 60,000 websites, and some of the modules we co-maintain, like Search404, have been among the top 100 modules in Drupal. We also promote Free Software in our home state and have led various projects, including the migration of Kerala Legislative Assembly operations onto FOSS.

We are proud to be an empanelled vendor for the International Centre for Free And Open Source Software under the Government of Kerala in India and an empanelled Drupal services supplier with the GovCMS Project under the Department of Finance Government of Australia.

MarTech, Drupal and Personalization

For most of the projects we execute, we work closely with the Marketing and Communication teams of the organizations we work with and based on that experience. The insights generated, we started offering Martech services which focus on automation and website personalization.

Contributing back to the community, building the community

In line with our Free Software commitments, we have been an active contributor to the Drupal Project. Our Drupal contributions can be split into Community Development Interventions and Code Contributions.

Community development interventions

The focus of our Community Development interventions have been on taking Drupal to people who have not heard of it or want to learn more, supporting Drupal users and partnering with Drupal Association and participating in various initiatives under its aegis. They take the form of the following activities.

Taking Drupal to new places

Conduct Drupal programming workshops including an introduction to Drupal Community and how to be part of the community amongst colleges across south of India including premier engineering schools like IIT, Chennai, RV College of Engineering, Bangalore amongst others.

1. Internships to students in Drupal development with students drawn from IIT Palakkad and IIT Chennai.
2. Industrial training to students in exposing the Drupal based services model.
3. Organising Drupal awareness events in Kerala
4. Sponsorships and participation in Drupal South, Australia
5. Participation in Drupal Camps in Mumbai and Chennai.

Partnering with Drupal Association

Zyxware Technologies is one of the oldest members of Drupal Association from India. We have been a dues paying member since 2009. As part of the partnership we have the following activities

1. Organising Drupal Global Training Days in Kerala
2. Organising Drupal Global Contribution Weekend in Kerala
3. Sponsorship, participation and case study presentation in DrupalCon Asia
4. Participation in DrupalCon North America
5. Supporting development and maintenance of drupal.org
