About us

ANNAI is an enterprise web application development company founded in 2007. The vast majority of our web-based solutions are built with Drupal.

The services we offer include:

• Development and maintenance of Drupal-based web applications
• Drupal site audit and consultancy
• Agile consultancy

We offer a holistic solution that doesn't rely solely upon technology but by understanding the clients' needs based on our deep understanding of the clients' businesses, through meticulous analysis and requirements elicitation.

We don't only utilise open source technology, but also support multiple open source projects and their communities through meetup and event organisation. This allows us to specialise in not only Drupal, but also other FOSS technologies.

Our mission

Our mission is to facilitate and accelerate our clients' business through the delivery of high-value solutions built on Drupal and other open-source technologies.

We also contribute to the dissemination of Drupal in Japan through community contribution and education. Our supervision of the translation of exams for Acquia's certification programme is a good example.

In order to maximise the value of the solution we deliver, we use agile methodologies where appropriate. We also provide agile consultancy services to organisations and vendors that wish to benefit from the software development approach, which is still relatively new in Japan.

In broader terms, our mission is to improve the market environment for IT vendors and developers. We strive to realise our mission through the following activities:

• Development of high-quality training materials and the delivery of scalable training services to expand a pool of skilled developers
• Improvement of the project environment through promotion and practice of project management best practices

We believe that our efforts will, in the long run, bring about a positive effect on the market as a whole, as well as an increased prevalence and advancement of open-source technology.

We published "The Drupal 8 Starter Book", which was the first Drupal 8 book to be published in Japan.

コード

Group モジュールの安定版のリリースと Subgroup モジュール開発のスポンサー：Drupal サイト上で複雑なアクセス管理を実現する Group モジュールの安定版のリリースに係る作業、ならびに Group モジュールに階層化機能を付加する Subgroup モジュールの開発をスポンサーしました。
また、コアや拡張モジュールに対するパッチの提供なども行っています。

Drupal の普及

ThinkIT にて連載した Drupal 8 入門をもとに、日本初の Drupal 8 についての書籍となる『Drupal 8 スタートブック』を出版しました。
