With 13 departments representing all aspects of our daily lives, the Western Cape Government has a lot of ground to cover. We work closely with the national government and municipalities in the Western Cape to ensure that you have access to the services, facilities and information you need.

From agriculture and health to social development and education, we work hard to find solutions to just about every problem and opportunity imaginable. On a good day, you’ll never know about the many ways in which we’ve acted to prevent hardships and difficulties, long before they’ve ever had a chance to present themselves. This means that we always need to be thinking, planning and building a few steps ahead.

Digital platforms and solutions form part and parcel of the future we’re building. Our digital presence (website, intranet and social media) is managed by our eGovernment for Citizens directorate, a team in the Department of the Premier. The directorate also maintains and manages our intranet, Contact Centre and Cape Access programme.
