About:

To put a long name short: GzEvD. Literally translated:

Company for the Development of Things

Community-driven business is what inspires us. In our company structure that means: employees are co-owners and have a saying in our strategies. In client consulting that means: Whenever applicable, we advise companies to build synergies within their sector and promote the idea of Drupal distributions. Or take the idea of a meta community: We have been a driving force in founding the
CMS Garden Association, a cooperation of the most relevant open source content management systems for common public relations acitivities.

Working with GzEvD means working with partners. Once understood, the project's scope is what we're targeting. Sometimes this even means discussing feature requests. "Client is king" is not our attitude. We prefer to see them as companions.

Contributions:

We are very dedicated to contributions - you might even call it addiction. Our team members contribute modules, patches, translations, documentation, marketing material and we provide help on many channels/platforms.

Those who don't code foster the community: Not only do we sponsor Drupal Camps, we also volunteer in organizing and conducting them. CEO Stephan Luckow has been in official functions of the German Drupal Association and still spends much of his spare time in volunteer activities.
We talk competitors into contributing and try to convince customers to become active members of the community as well. We add an optional "community tribute" to our offers and motivate customers to have their individual requirements solved generically, so we can contribute back. Because of that, one of our clients was even awarded with the Open Source Sustainability Award.

Our team members volunteer in consulting at CMS Garden booths on trade fairs and conferences. We have written handouts (Drupal at a Glance, Drupal for Governmental Authorities, Take and Give) under CC license and are editors of the free CMS Gardener's Guide.
